Austin Bumpus, Founder of The Swing of Things
Austin Bumpus is the founder of The Swing of Things, serving as a writer and editor for the site’s content. Bumpus spent three years with The Boston Globe as a sports correspondent, and worked as a Digital Content Producer for Boston 25 News after spending time at FanSided and CBS Boston. He also produced the documentary “Answers to the Test: The State of Sports Journalism,” featuring interviews with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt and Jackie MacMullan, along with other familiar faces across sports media.

Allen Austin has a Master’s degree in Sports Communication & Media from Iona College. Allen is currently the co-host of the “American Scene” podcast, as well as “Mark The Words with Tony and Allen” which focuses on All Elite Wrestling. Allen also has a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from the California University of Pennsylvania, and is a Fair Lawn, NJ native.
